BRInj is committed to the training, education and mentorship of aspiring research scientists and physicians.  In pursuit of that goal, BRInj, in collaboration with MidAtlantic Neonatology Associates (MANA), offers an Student Research Program designed to give students exposure to cutting-edge research, an appreciation for these important careers, and an opportunity to refine their research skills.  We invite outstanding undergraduate and high school students to conduct biomedical research in our state-of-the-art laboratory or in a hospital setting in collaboration with a MANA physician.  Students may come to BRInj for a summer internship, a week long research experience, or participate in semester- or year-long internship programs.

To learn more about the students who have participated in the past or their research projects, follow us on Facebook.

In addition to research-based activities, many of our students take advantage of opportunities to meet with physicians in the clinic, shadow doctors in the hospital, or attend rounds.  These opportunities depend solely on the availability and interests of particular students.

Research Forums, Conferences and Community Seminars

BRInj, in collaboration with our clinical partners, also hosts research-related, educational events, many of which may be attended by members of the community. We have also hosted tours and educational seminars tailored toward high school science classes or other community groups.
